Show FAQs

  • What is a double show?

A double show means one entry puts your bird in the judging for two shows on the same event. Two separate groups of judges will evaluate all the birds. Just like going to two different shows in two different places, this will just all occur over the same show weekend. All birds are entered once in both shows with the main judging happening on Saturday, and champions judged and awards given out on Sunday morning.

  • How is judging done?

Birds are entered in either the junior show for youth ages 18 and under, or the open show for anyone of any age. The same bird cannot be entered in both divisions. We do single bird entries as cock, hen, cockerel, pullet, or old and young trio. All judging is based on the most current editions of the APA and ABA standards and the rules and regulations set forth from those parent organizations.

  • Are there different judges for each show or different junior show judges?

We have different judges for each show or card, plus separate judges for the junior shows. We will always add, swap, or cancel judges based on entry number needs.

  • Are you bringing back the pig roast?

YES! We feel that time for fellowship and celebration are an  important part of our hobby and we will be bringing back the pig roast  for our exhibitors and their families after things wrap up for the day on Saturday for a free will donation.  The show provides pulled pork, sauce, buns, and potato salad and we would love volunteers for any additional sides and desserts that could be brought. Please give us an estimated head count on your entry form so we can plan food.
